A GIGANTIC thank you to Tarbut V’ Torah’s Lower School for their amazing donation of 310 awesome books, which they collected during their recent Scholastic Book Fair. This is TVT’s 4th consecutive year holding a book drive for ECBC, and this donation is the largest number of books we have received from a school to date! THANK YOU TVT for your ongoing commitment to ECBC and reading for kids at CHOCk Children’s Hospital; we appreciate your support so very much. A special thank you to TVT kindergartener and Leukemia warrior Liam for helping to deliver the books! What a terrific way to start off 2020!
Tarbut V’Torah just completed another book drive for ECBC, which makes this the third year in a row that TVT has collected and donated approximately 200 new, high-quality books (almost one book per student). Each year since we launched ECBC, Tarbut has run a book drive alongside their Scholastic Book Fair — with the students doing the advertising, promoting, and buying of the books. They are such an amazing model for how kids and schools can get involved and make a difference for other kids in our community,! @e need more schools like TVT in order to build a sustainable library and reading program at CHOC Children’s Hospital!
Thank you Tarbut for continuing to be a Thrive Partner School! ECBC appreciates your support so much!

THANK YOU to Tarbut V’Torah’s Lower School for such an AMAZING student-led book drive! TVT collected 219 new books in just one week, and this school only has 253 students! Here’s Ethan’s video explaining what TVT did and thanking this awesome school. We need more schools like Tarbut to help us create a sustainable library at CHOC Children’s Hospital!
Today Ethan visited Tarbut V’Torah Community Day School, where he attended their school-wide Shabbat assembly and was presented with 250 new books that the school collected for the library that Ethan & Choco’s Book Club is building for CHOC Children’s Hospital. We are so so grateful for the initiative of the 5th graders who organized the book drive as well as the entire Lower School’s tremendous support and donations!!! And thank you for the warm welcome this morning — from the sign and greeting in the parking lot to being presented with the books on stage and being passed the mic to speak to the school — Ethan loved it all! Thank you TVT and thank you Christine Caplis Gronerfor all your work to help make this happen!
