Striving to make access to books and reading a core part of the care that SuperKids receive in the hospital, with the principal premise that literacy support for children fighting cancer and other life-threatening conditions can help promote cognitive development and social connections that are part of thriving through treatment and beyond
ECBC Co-Founders Ethan and his mom Ali spent the day at the Orange County Children’s Book Festival working hard to raise awareness and collect a few book donations too. It’s hard to believe this is ECBC’s 4th year at the OC Children’s Book Festival!
Ethan stopped by my booth to tell me about his organization. I am proud of him and his efforts to put books in the hospitals for children to enjoy. So, I donated my book Grammy Doesn’t Know Me: Alls Hi Mers Took Her Memories.
I hope they enjoy it and I will look forward to providing more books in the future.
