The IRS Letter of Determination just came in the mail — Ethan & Choco’s Book club is now an approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit public-benefit organization! This means that donors can deduct contributions that they make to ECBC. It also means that all contributions made directly to ECBC since its its date of incorporation (December 10, 2018) are now retroactively tax exempt. This is great news for ECBC, as it should make us a more attractive candidate for large/corporate donations  — which we need to keep up with our growing programs at CHOC!
