Ever since ECBC Co-Founder Ethan completed his “Book Look a Day” challenge in 2016 (366 books reviewed, recorded, and posted — while on chemo!), he has talked about wanting to start his own book review blog. While his book look challenge was difficult (an understatement, my husband and I wanted to end it after the first month, but Ethan wouldn’t let us), I think Ethan enjoyed the sense of ownership and pride that came with having his own project, his own personal way to contribute to ECBC. This past weekend he decided to put the work into creating his blog, and today he launched it with his first book review post. In typical Ethan-style, it wasn’t enough to just write book reviews — he needed to add a twist to make it extra challenging. So he’s trying to do rhyming book reviews, hence his title “Rhyming Raves of Ethan’s Faves”. He’s by no means a pro at writing in rhyme (especially rhyming reviews!), so this seems ambitious — we’ll see how long he lasts with this new project…
